Le Caniette was set up in the 60s, when founder Raffaele Vagnoni gradually converted the land lots inherited from his father into vineyards, making the wine business the main source of family income. Giovanni Vagnoni joined the company in the early 90s and introduced the first labels and all the technological and business innovation that made us what we are today: a locally admired company that is earning worldwide consensus. Our 20 ha estate features vineyards (16 ha), olive groves (1.5 ha) and woods.
Many beneficial elements make our vineyards unique: the Mediterranean microclimate, balanced by the closeness to the Balkans, sandy soil with Early Pleistocene clastic rocks
We follow the principles of organic farming, to provide our customers with natural products, as certified on every bottle. We care about our local culture, territory and tradition, and therefore joined the “ Vini Piceni” Consortium, a locally as well as national reference for winemakers.
